Nov 08, 2022Mount the workpiece into the headstock of the lathe using a holder called "jaw chuck." Most of the modern mini-lathe come with a chuck guard. Put that guard on, select the direction of the rotation, and then turn on the lathe. Rotate the lathe at a certain RPM, and don't ever forget to wear the protective gear.

As for the motor, it has 3/4 horsepower, which is pretty decent for a benchtop combo lathe/mill. This, however, is a single-phase motor. Being one, it costs less and requires very little maintenance.
