29.01.2008As I understand it, that's pretty much how regrind cams get reground. Grind down the base and the lift from base becomes greater. Can't remove material from the lobe peak and gain lift. 20/06/2015The cam in it is a 230/235 .050 480,495, 1.5 rocker. 106 sep. Engine wont idle in gear. Idle in neutral is 1800. 2200 summit converter acts tighter than that. I have a Comp 292 cam 244/244 .050 501/501 lift, 110sep. I got on trade and don't see ever using it even in my 340 for my 67 Cuda. I would like to try and make it useable.

BTW if your running a flat tappet cam INSIST ON A P55 core, to have it ground on as they are far more durable than the cheaper cores.

They also have a pretty good core bank and last time I checked even had some new slant cores.
